Dance in a Small Space Contest Winner!
ATC had a “Dance in a Small Space” contest. Winning couple is Mike Eblen and Allison Thompson from Ashville, NC. The event was a Ton of Fun. I’m sure we will do it again!

The idea came from Ney Melo and Jennifer Bratt dancing a demo at a workshop in the Triangle NC area (I believe). The rules are as follows:
Dancing a Small Space Contest Rules
There will be 1X1 boards 4 feet long making a space of 4X4. The boards will be touching but not connected. The couple will dance within the space for the entire song. If they touch outside the box or touch the boards in any way, an 8 point penalty will be assessed to their scores by each judge.
Judging will be done by a panel of judges. They will score the couple based on the matrix below:

The music the couple will dance to is Pensalo Bien— Juan D’Arienzo —- CD Grandes Del Tango 6 (Juan D’Arienzo2) (Disc 1)
Scores from the judges will be averaged together for the couple’s total score. Highest score wins.
Prize money is $50 for the winning couple. There is a $5 entrance fee.
